A softer, warmer Amazonian rapé made with the ash of the Amburana tree (Amburana cearensis) — also known as Imburana, Emburana, or Cumaru de Cheiro — and traditional Mapacho tobacco. Often labelled "Imdurana" by suppliers; the Amburana ash brings a distinctive sweet, vanilla-and-almond aromatic profile.
Character & feel
Of the three rapés in our range, Imdurana is the gentlest — aromatic, warming, less aggressive on the nose than Caneleiro or Parica. Often chosen for first-time practice, evening use, or quieter contemplative sessions. Rounded, meditative, and approachable.

Application & dosage
Begin with a small portion — about the size of a grain of rice — applied to one nostril at a time. Sit upright, breathe slowly. Effects build within seconds; the acute phase lasts 5–20 minutes, with a 30–60 minute settling phase. Apply via tepi (partner-administered) or kuripe (self) — see our Tepi & Kuripe guide.

Rapé contains a high concentration of nicotine. Not suitable during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, with cardiovascular conditions, with MAO inhibitors, or with certain SSRIs.
