Hazard and Safety Information
Hazard and Safety Statements (H and P Codes)
This page provides an overview of key hazard and precautionary statements used under the Globally Harmonised System (GHS) and the European CLP Regulation.
The statements are expressed as alphanumeric codes and split into two main groups:
- Hazard statements (H codes) – describe the risks associated with a substance or mixture.
- Precautionary statements (P codes) – provide advice on safe handling, storage, and disposal.
Note: This overview is for guidance only and does not claim to be exhaustive. The information on the product label and in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each specific product is always legally binding and takes precedence.
